The State College Spikes will be holding the annual Paint the Park Pink night on Sunday, July 30, at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park to help raise money for breast cancer awareness and honor survivors and those battling the disease.
Held annually and sponsored by Mount Nittany Health, all proceeds will benefit Mount Nittany Health Foundation, which supports the advancement of healthcare available to the community. The Foundation will designate all the money it receives from this game to Mount Nittany Health's Breast Care Center.
The Spikes’ players will wear special jerseys during the game in support of the fight against breast cancer, which fans can then bid on during a silent auction. The first 1,000 fans through the gates will receive a special pink team poster. The first pitch is at 6:05 pm, but the gates will open early for pregame activities.
The Foundation is proud to again be partnering with the Spikes to raise money for the Breast Care Center. For more information on Paint the Park Pink, contact the Foundation at 814.234.6777 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
