  • Susan Hostetter Krieger, MD, brings more than 25 years of healthcare experience in her role as Mount Nittany Medical Center’s medical director of palliative care services. Dr. Krieger’s philosophy of care focuses simply on being there for each patient and their loved ones, she says. “Patients and caregivers become part of an extended family. I make it my mission to do what’s best for the patient, not just what’s best to do to the patient,” adding, “We’re in this journey together.”
  • Caitlin Taylor, CRNP, recently joined Mount Nittany Physician Group Urology. She says, “I’m excited to join such an amazing team of healthcare providers. I look forward to working with them to improve the quality of life for those in our region.” Taylor sees patients at Mount Nittany Health – University Drive.

Mount Nittany Health recently welcomed two new executives to the leadership team.

  • “Helping others has continuously been the most rewarding part of my career. I’ve always believed that keeping the patient and their family at the forefront of everything is the key to providing the best possible care,” shares Suzanne Barkley, MSN, MA, RN, CPHQ. Barkley joins Mount Nittany Health as Vice President of Quality with more than 35 years of healthcare experience including quality and performance improvement, patient safety and adult education.
  • With more than 20 years of information services leadership and nearly 10 years of healthcare experience, Michael Martz, CHCIO, MBA, was named Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Mount Nittany Health. “Mount Nittany Health is known as a forward-thinking, healthy and community-focused organization,” says Martz. “ I am proud to be a part of the health system and look forward to working with this incredible team of providers and staff.”
