State College native Brandon Ream, a former football player at The Pennsylvania State University and the son of Camp Woodward founder Gary Ream, passed away after a battle with bone cancer in 2013 at the age of 29.

To honor his memory and help support those facing similar challenges, Brandon’s wife, Samantha, and their family, established a Team Ream Fund through the Mount Nittany Health Foundation. The mission of the Team Ream Fund is to assist the everyday lives of financially disadvantaged in State College and surrounding areas who have been affected by cancer and other serious medical conditions.

Having generously donated $110,000, the Reams have provided support to several patients in the cancer program at Mount Nittany Medical Center.

To support the Team Ream Fund in their efforts, consider attending one of their many events held throughout the year. The next event takes place on Sunday, January 13, as the Penn State Men’s Basketball team takes on Michigan State at 1:30 pm at the Bryce Jordan Center. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit teamream.org. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Team Ream.
