Driving for $1 million: Golf Classic silent auction now live

Fundraising efforts for the 29th Annual Mount Nittany Health Golf Classic kick-off today, Tuesday, July 30, with an online silent auction. With proceeds benefitting the new cardiovascular pavilion at Mount Nittany Medical Center, Mount Nittany Health Foundation is once again partnering with Bidding for Good to bring you some great experienced-based packages.

Whether or not you’re golfing at the event on August 10, community members have a chance to win a variety of packages, including:

  • Golf packages to Aronomink Golf Club and Saucon Valley Country Club
  • Family experience at Splash Lagoon
  • Sports packages to your favorite Penn State teams

There is also a raffle for a chance to win a one-week stay in St. John in the US Virgin Islands. The trip includes a seven-night stay at Turtle’s Nest Villa, 4WD Jeep rental, charter excursion to the British Virgin Islands, and stand up paddleboard and snorkel gear rental for the week. Turtle’s Nest Villa offers accommodations for two guests (children under 12 included) within walking distance to Fish Bay and several hiking trails, and within a 10-minute drive to Cruz Bay and Coral Bay. Only 250 tickets will be sold at $100/ticket. Visit to purchase a chance.

The Golf Classic committee is committed to raising $1 million by 2020 for the new cardiovascular pavilion at Mount Nittany Medical Center, and we’re asking for your help. Scheduled to open in fall 2019, the 26,000-square-foot cardiovascular pavilion will include an updated cardiac catheterization lab and electrophysiology lab spaces, complete with new imaging and monitoring technology. With the patient experience in mind, a large waiting area, situated within the sunlight structure; eight to ten convenient flex bay patient areas; and bright, comfortable patient meeting areas are just some of the updated features that will help us serve the growing number of people who trust us with their heart. To date, the Golf Classic committee has raised more than $650,000 toward its $1 million goal.

The auction is now open and will close at noon on August 13. To bid, visit: If you have questions, please contact the Foundation at 814.234.6777 or by email at To learn more about the Golf Classic or to register, visit
