Each year, Mount Nittany Health celebrates March 30 as National Doctors’ Day. This is a day set aside to acknowledge the vital role doctors play in improving and saving lives. We are proud to say that more than 300 talented and dedicated doctors have chosen to work with Mount Nittany Health in serving our communities.

Each doctor plays an important role within our health system. For the second consecutive year, Mount Nittany Medical Center has earned a 5-star rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. With an overall national average of 3 out of 5 stars, the Medical Center joins a peer group of only 400 hospitals nationwide, and is one of just 14 Pennsylvania hospitals with a 5-star rating.

Our team of Mount Nittany Physician Group providers is 175 strong, with recent additions to bariatric medicine, gastroenterology, pulmonary medicine and primary care. The Physician Group remains the largest multi-specialty group in Centre County, serving nearly 100,000 patients annually.

While our doctors deserve our gratitude every day, this particular day provides a unique opportunity to honor your own doctor by making a tax-deductible, charitable gift to Mount Nittany Health Foundation. For your donation, the Foundation will notify your doctor that a special gift has been made in his or her honor without disclosing the amount of your gift.

Simply make your gift by visiting our secure website at foundation.mountnittany.org/doctorsday. As always, thank you for your generosity.

Sincerely,

Kathleen Rhine                                               Simon Corby

P.S. Now is also a great time to thank other members of your care team! Feel free to take this opportunity to show your appreciation for a favorite nurse, technician, physician assistant or other healthcare professional. Simply leave a comment with his or her name on the online form, and we’ll be sure to let them know that a special gift has been made in his or her honor without disclosing the amount of your gift.
