Mount Nittany Health Foundation Golf Classic Raises Over $350,000

The 33^rd Annual Mount Nittany Health Foundation Golf Classic, held on Friday, September 29^th, at the Penn State Golf Courses, raised record-breaking funds of over $350,000 with proceeds directed to supporting and enhancing Mount Nittany Health's Sports Medicine capabilities through Mount Nittany Health Orthopedics.

Since its inception in 1991, the Mount Nittany Health Golf Classic has raised millions of dollars to help advance healthcare in the Centre region.

“We are so grateful to the local community for their support,” said Adrienne Krasowitz, Executive Director, Mount Nittany Health Foundation. “We set a record for the number of golfers at the Penn State Golf Course – a feat that was only possible thanks to our wonderful committee members, sponsors, and volunteers.”

It was a sold-out event, as an impressive 288 golfers teed off, and dozens of volunteers assisted with planning and executing the popular event.

“The Golf Classic was a great opportunity to see and feel the community support in person,” said Kevin Wilson, MD, Mount Nittany Health Orthopedics, chair of the Golf Classic Committee. “The proceeds from this event will purchase state-of-the-art equipment for Mount Nittany Health Sports Medicine. This will allow our providers to better serve area student-athletes to improve performance and prevent injuries.”

Team prizes awarded to the top teams on the Blue Course and White Course:

White Course

Additional prizes were awarded for the longest drive, straightest drive, closest to the pin, and longest putt.
