Mount Nittany Health is pleased to announce that the Mount Nittany Health Foundation’s 75th Annual Charity Ball raised $507,750 to support the new Patient Tower at Mount Nittany Medical Center.

The event, co-chaired by Pat Kraft, Penn State Athletic Director, and Betsy Kraft, Community Leader and Volunteer, celebrated the future of Mount Nittany Health in the Centre Region.

The evening was a success and an opportunity for the community to show their support of Mount Nittany Health and its mission of, “Healthier people, stronger community.”

“Support from the community means the world to the dedicated physicians, nurses, and employees of Mount Nittany Health,” said Kathleen Rhine, President and CEO, Mount Nittany Health. “And it means everything to your neighbors and friends who count on Mount Nittany Health for their healthcare needs.”

Proceeds from the event will be used right here in the Centre Region, to provide state-of-the-art care in the new Patient Tower at Mount Nittany Medical Center, set to open in 2026.

According to Pat Kraft, “We know the importance and value of having a high-quality health care organization in our community. Betsy’s mother was a nurse, so she grew up seeing firsthand the commitment and passion that goes into caring for neighbors and friends. We’re thrilled we could contribute in our own small way.”

As an independent, community-governed health system, Mount Nittany Health relies on the support from the community and is incredibly grateful to those who volunteered their time to serve on the Charity Ball committee including co-chairs, Pat and Betsy Kraft, Susan Brown, Melissa Hawbaker, Genevieve Hulburt, Dr. Kristie Kaufman, and Nancy Silvis.

The Charity Ball was created 75 years ago by a small group of community-minded citizens, and that tradition continues thanks to the leadership of our dedicated volunteers, business leaders, and community members.

Special thanks to all of the sponsors of this year’s Charity Ball, including the title sponsor, The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company, as well as Kranich’s Jewelers and the Scholar Hotels. A full list of sponsors is available at mnh-foundation-charity-ball.eventlify.com
