    State College Area High School Girls’ Basketball Pink Out game benefits Mount Nittany Health Breast Care Center

    The State College Area High School Girls’ Basketball team held its annual Pink Out game on Tuesday, January 29, against Altoona, raising $3,853 for Mount Nittany Health Breast Care Center.

    The team and booster club put together more than 25 baskets, which were raffled off during the game. Since 2010, the State College Girls’ Basketball booster club program has raised more than $57,000 for the Breast Care Center.

    State College Area High School Interact community service club provides a helping hand

    The State College Area High School’s “State High Interact Club” held a fundraiser last October selling pink temporary tattoos, paw prints and ribbons, and donated the proceeds to Mount Nittany Health Breast Care Center.

    State College native Brandon Ream, a former football player at The Pennsylvania State University, passed away after a battle with bone cancer in 2013 at the age of 29.

    Local salon nets $2,000 for Breast Care Center

    Adam Cole Salon in State College held a Breast Cancer Awareness Month fundraiser last month to benefit Mount Nittany Health’s Breast Care Center.

    With the goal of raising $1,500, the salon sold pink ribbons that were displayed on a tree outside of the salon, pink clip-in hair extensions, and raffled off a hairdryer. In total, $2,000 was collected to support the cause.

    28th Annual Mount Nittany Health Golf Classic brings in more than $167,000 for new cardiovascular pavilion

    The 28th Annual Mount Nittany Health Golf Classic, held Saturday, August 11, at the Penn State Golf Courses, netted a total of $167,082, with all proceeds supporting construction of the new cardiovascular pavilion at Mount Nittany Medical Center.
