Qasim Salimi, MD, joins Mount Nittany Physician Group Gastroenterology

Mount Nittany Health is pleased to welcome Qasim Salimi, MD, to Mount Nittany Physician Group Gastroenterology.

“Relating to my patients in a direct, yet compassionate manner has always been essential to my philosophy of care,” says Dr. Salimi. “My goal is to work together with each patient to achieve the best possible care for him or her. It’s truly a team effort.”

Dr. Salimi earned his bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and molecular biology, with a minor in sociology, from Boston University and his medical degree from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in Piscataway, New Jersey. He completed his internal medicine residency from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, New Jersey, and his gastroenterology fellowship from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, Newark, New Jersey. Dr. Salimi is board certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

“I’m thrilled to be a part of Mount Nittany Physician Group and the local community,” Dr. Salimi shares. “My family and I are happy to call this area home.”

Outside of the office, Dr. Salimi enjoys spending time with his wife of five years, Ilsa, and their two-year-old daughter, Leila. He is a huge sports fan, especially when it comes to all-things Boston.
