Mount Nittany Health Critical Care

When you or a loved one is dealing with life-threatening medical needs, our critical care team is here to help. We have 24 licensed Intensive Care Unit (ICU) beds where we provide care to a wide variety of medical and surgical patients. Our ICU is staffed 24/7 with Intensivists. Intensivists are specially trained ICU providers caring for your loved ones.

Our approach

Leading-edge critical care amenities and services improve care. Whether care is short or long term, high-tech adjustable patient beds are used to promote comfort and reduce bedsores. Our full-room, bird’s-eye monitoring, and open floor plans assist in ease of care. Patients can rest undisturbed while providers monitor them on computers outside the room.

Critical care visitor information

We understand the importance of getting to spend time with your loved one while they are in our critical care unit. When you visit, please remember only two visitors are allowed at a time. Children are not allowed in the ICU.

Preferred visitation hours are for the ICU are between 11:30 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. to allow patients ample time to rest.
