Urology treatment options

Treatment for urologic conditions may include medication, physical therapy and non-invasive procedures. Surgery isn’t always required to treat a urologic condition, but if it is, our urologists offer minimally invasive urology treatments using the da Vinci robotic surgical system. This robotic-assisted surgery gives your surgeon precise control during the procedure, leading to better outcomes and faster healing.

• Cystoscopy: An in-office urology procedure that examines the bladder’s interior, in which a tissue biopsy is performed if necessary.
• Laparoscopic nephrectomy: A minimally invasive surgery for removal of a kidney.
• Lithotripsy: A minimally invasive procedure that breaks up kidney stones using shockwaves, which allows them to pass through the ureter more easily.
• Robotic prostatectomy: A minimally invasive surgery to remove the prostate and surrounding tissues.
